Families

We know that kids need more than just church on Sundays to support their faith journeys - here at St Mike’s we believe in investing in family life; supporting parents where we can, equipping and empowering parents and carers to journey together with their children in getting to know Jesus more.

The Morning Hub Café

Do you drop of a child at school/ nursery or have a little one at home?

Then why not come along to our Morning Hub café, which is open every Thursday in term-time from 10am-12.

You can buy coffee/tea and a pastry at affordable prices whilst chatting with friends, and meeting new friends.

There is an area with toys for any little ones to enjoy.

We also have laptops, and people on hand to help search for things on the internet, and signpost to relevant activities and organisations in Bournemouth.

We also have a kids book swap - finished with a book at home? Then bring a book to leave and take a new one home!

Courses for parents / carers

We willing to offer parenting courses, for example Parentalk - the Primary Years, written by Care for the Family and Parenting for Faith course from the team at Parenting for Faith. Let us know if you’re interested!

The rest of the week…

On Sundays we gather as church, but it’s not always easy to keep following Jesus once we leave the building. We want to do all we can to help equip families to be the church where they are, Monday to Saturday. Keep an eye out for our resources!
